We are working with a Manchester-based organisation seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor to support their team on a locum basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising tenants on statutory and contractual repairing obligations under housing legislation.
- Managing housing disrepair claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
- Drafting and responding to pre‑action correspondence in compliance with relevant protocols.
- Instructing experts and analysing surveyor and medical evidence.
- Issuing and progressing court proceedings, including drafting pleadings and schedules of loss.
- Negotiating settlements and advising on damages, injunctions, and enforcement of repair works.
- Liaising with landlords, local authorities, housing associations, and counsel.
Working Arrangement
Fully Remote. Office attendance preferable.
Rate
