Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Senior Information Governance Officer to join a Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Information Governance professional to join a friendly and welcoming team.
The Role:
- Duration: Initial 6 months with potential extensions thereafter
- Working Pattern: Full Time, Remote working
- Rate: Up to £45 per hour umbrella
- Start: ASAP start date
Role Responsibilities:
- Managing the information governance function and overseeing an Information Governance Officer
- Coordinating responses to data breaches and dealing with contentious and complex Subject Access Requests and FOI
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working within Information Governance, ideally within Local Government or the public sector
- Strong working knowledge of Data Protection legislation, FOI and SAR processes
- Experience advising on DPIAs, ROPA and information risk management frameworks
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice and manage a varied workload independently
