We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Delivery Officer to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands on an interim basis. This opportunity would suit a qualified Town Planning professional with experience delivering large-scale strategic development sites, stakeholder engagement, and supporting the progression of complex housing and planning projects.

Rate: Negotiable
Location: Hybrid (office attendance once every 4 weeks, with site visits and in-person meetings as required)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Site Delivery Officer for a major strategic site allocation within an emerging Local Plan
- Support the delivery of a new settlement of approximately 10,000 homes
- Liaise with developers, landowners, consultants, local authority teams, and other key stakeholders
- Monitor site progress and help drive delivery objectives and programme milestones
- Provide planning and development expertise to support strategic growth initiatives
- Coordinate and attend site visits, meetings, and workshops as required
- Prepare reports, briefings, and updates for senior officers and key stakeholders
- Support the authority in progressing the strategic site through the planning and delivery process
Requirements:
- Qualified Town Planner (RTPI or equivalent)
- Experience working on large-scale residential, strategic planning, or regeneration projects
- Strong understanding of planning policy and development delivery
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers and public sector organisations
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Local authority experience would be beneficial
