Interim Senior HR Advisor
Location: Northampton
Rate: £28.61 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Until the end of April 2027
Working arrangement: Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per week
Hours: 37 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support a local authority HR team in Northampton on an interim basis.
The successful candidate will provide generalist HR support to managers, offering practical advice and guidance across a range of employee matters, alongside supporting the implementation of a TUPE transfer from a housing organisation into the local authority.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide generalist HR advice and support to managers across a range of employee-related matters.
- Support managers through HR casework, including employee relations issues.
- Assist with the implementation of a TUPE transfer, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
- Advise on HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation.
- Support organisational change and ensure HR processes are followed consistently.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an effective HR service.
Essential experience:
- Strong generalist HR advisory experience.
- Experience supporting managers with HR casework and employee relations matters.
- Experience or knowledge of TUPE transfers.
- Previous experience within local government, the wider public sector or the housing sector is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
