Housing Administrator
We are currently working with a small social housing and support provider to recruit a Housing Administrator on a permanent basis. The role is central to ensuring effective communication with tenants, families, professionals, and commissioners, maintaining accurate records, supporting statutory compliance, and enabling the smooth delivery of housing and support services across multiple projects.
Salary: £27,000 (FTE)
Hours: 30 hours per week – No Weekend Working
Location: Surrey
Contract: Permanent
Key responsibilities:
- Assist tenants and families with housing benefit applications, including exempt accommodation claims
- Support families and clients with benefit applications and related processes
- Respond to benefit-related queries from families, clients, councils, and external agencies
- Liaise with external agencies to resolve housing-related issues such as Council Tax, Universal Credit, and Housing Benefit
- Support the review and re-evaluation of service charges for individual projects
- Issue and maintain tenancy agreements, including legal and easy-read versions
- Produce easy-read versions of tenancy and care-related documentation to support accessibility and understanding
The successful candidate will have:
- Understanding of housing management functions, including lettings, tenancy administration, repairs, and compliance
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced Adult DBS
