Governance Project Manager

Location: Hybrid

Contract: Until April 2027 (3 days per week)

Salary: Β£60,000

We are seeking an experienced Governance Project Manager to lead the delivery of a key compliance programme and support the implementation of strategic governance and sustainability initiatives.

In this role, you will oversee the STAIRs work programme, ensuring the organisation is prepared for Phase Two compliance by April 2027. Working closely with the Project Management Office, senior stakeholders and external consultants, you will drive project delivery, coordinate governance activities and support the development of the organisation's Sustainability Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of the STAIRs programme and implementation plan
  • Coordinate the Sustainability Working Group and monitor key actions
  • Support the development of the Sustainability Strategy
  • Act as the key liaison with the PMO, ensuring governance and change management processes are followed
  • Manage risks, issues, reporting and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide project and governance support across the wider Risk & Governance function

About You

  • Experienced Project Manager with a strong governance and compliance understanding
  • Proven track record of delivering complex change or regulatory programmes
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, reporting and project governance
  • Knowledge of information governance and STAIRs regulations would be advantageous
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM or equivalent) desirable
