Interim Senior Project Manager (Capital & Asset Investment)

Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 3 months

We are working with a London Local Authority who are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to be a part of their Capital & Asset Investment Team.

They will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of planned investment, capital works, compliance-related improvement and regeneration projects across residential and corporate assets.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide strategic leadership, project governance, budget control and stakeholder management

· Manage projects covering planned maintenance, major works, decarbonisation, building safety, compliance and regeneration initiatives

· Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers and governance reports

· Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions

· Oversee project handovers, post-project reviews and lessons learned processes

· Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and support professional development

· Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, Building Regulations, CDM requirements and organisational policies

· Be responsible for managing a team of up to five project professionals

Key Requirements:

· Significant experience delivering capital investment, major works, planned maintenance or asset improvement programmes within a local authority

· Proven track record managing projects from inception through to completion

· Experience managing large capital budgets and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

· Knowledge of asset management principles within housing, local authority or property environments
