This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic growth and income generation, working closely with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, secure sustainable funding and support the organisation's long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's income generation and business development strategy, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.
- Develop high-quality tenders, bids and business cases to secure new funding and service opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders and key external stakeholders.
- Monitor commissioning activity, market trends and funding opportunities, translating insights into actionable growth plans.
- Support the mobilisation of new services and contracts, working collaboratively across the organisation.
- Present recommendations and strategic proposals to senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
- Manage and develop team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a senior business development, income generation or commissioning role within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Strong track record of securing growth opportunities through successful tendering, bidding and partnership development.
- Experience working within commissioned services, with a strong understanding of tendering, procurement and income generation opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging commissioners, funders and senior decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to develop robust business cases and growth strategies.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting to executive teams, Boards and other senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable line management experience and the ability to influence across a complex organisation.
