Position: Locum Principal Civil Litigation Paralegal
Organisation: Public Sector Organisation
Duration: 3-6 months +
Working Hours: Ideally Full Time
Working Arrangement: Remote working once IT has been collected. Some office presence is encouraged but not essential
Hourly Rate: up to Β£45 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience
This role would be suitable for an experienced Paralegal or Junior Lawyer who has been specialising in Civil Litigation matters. Local Government is desirable but not essential for this role.
Duties may include:
- Providing support to Lawyers and act as a point of contract on a variety of cases, to include taking instructions and giving advice, carrying out research, preparing applications, drafting documents and correspondence, commissioning and instructing expert witnesses, liaising with witnesses, attending meetings and providing advice and representation in courts or tribunals
- Assisting with various matters in relation to Civil Litigation with a bias to insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant Pre-Action Protocols
- Provide legal advice on dispute resolution strategies and litigation risk management
- Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices
