HR Business Partner

Contract: 6 months

Location: Hybrid - Leeds and York

Rate: Band 8A

We are currently supporting an NHS organisation in recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support across a diverse service area.

Working closely with senior leaders, this role will play a key part in delivering workforce priorities, supporting organisational change, and ensuring the provision of high-quality people focused services. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on a range of complex employee relations and workforce matters while helping to drive engagement, organisational development, and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver workforce strategies and people plans.
  • Provide expert advice on complex and high-risk employee relations matters.
  • Lead and support organisational change, transformation, and workforce redesign projects.
  • Analyse workforce data and trends to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement and help implement organisation-wide people programmes.
  • Lead on HR aspects of service reviews, restructures, consultations, and TUPE processes where required.
  • Develop and deliver management training, guidance, and best practice initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy development and wider HR improvement projects.
  • Coach and support managers in managing people-related challenges effectively.

Candidate Profile

  • Chartered CIPD qualified or equivalent.
  • Significant experience operating at HR Business Partner level within a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases and organisational change programmes.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience using workforce data and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
