An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified finance professional to join a leading NHS organisation as a Head of Finance & Contracts to lead their financial strategy, commercial governance, and contractual assurance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's financial and commercial strategy.
- Provide executive-level financial advice and assurance on complex contracts, partnerships and funding arrangements.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Lead commercial and contractual governance frameworks across the organisation.
- Support the development of business cases, bids, investment decisions and growth opportunities.
- Manage financial risk, ensuring robust governance and compliance.
- Develop strong relationships with NHS partners, suppliers, funding bodies and academic organisations.
- Lead, develop and inspire the finance function, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
About You
- CCAB-qualified accountant status with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Experience operating at a senior strategic finance level.
- Expertise in financial planning, management accounting and financial governance.
- Experience advising on complex contracts, grants, partnerships or commercial arrangements.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing financial and contractual risk.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- The ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights.
