This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Control professional to lead a sizeable collections function within a complex, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will oversee a team of credit control professionals, drive performance against KPIs, improve processes and controls, and play a key role in ongoing systems and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a Credit Control team of 10+ across multiple locations
- Oversee collections, cash allocation and aged debt management to ensure KPI delivery
- Produce debtor, cash flow and performance reporting for senior leadership
- Build strong relationships across finance and operational teams to resolve outstanding debt
- Support system improvements, integrations and finance transformation initiatives
- Drive process improvements, automation and operational efficiencies across the function
- Manage escalated accounts, legal recoveries and credit control governance, including credit notes and write-offs
- Maintain and enhance credit control procedures, controls and performance metrics throughout the team
Key Requirements
Essential
- Substantial Credit Control experience within a high-volume environment
- Significant previous experience leading and developing successful Credit Control teams
- Experience setting KPI, performance and management targets and producing, senior management reports
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of financial controls, write-offs and credit procedures
- Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP system
- Proven involvement in system implementations, integrations or finance transformation projects
- Strong systems mindset with a track record of improving processes and controls through technology
- Experience driving automation, efficiency improvements and process optimisation within a finance function
- Healthcare sector experience would be advantageous
