We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established Housing Association and provide a proactive, people-focused HR service across the organisation. Reporting to the Employment Business Partner, you will support managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, recruitment activity, HR processes and policy implementation. HR Advisor General Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance on employee relations matters, policies and employment legislation.
- Support managers through disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and probation processes.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity, from approval through to offer and onboarding.
- Monitor sickness absence levels and support managers in implementing appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.
- Support HR projects including wellbeing initiatives, performance management and learning & development programmes.
- Assist with HR compliance activities, DBS checks, inductions and employee lifecycle administration.
HR Advisor Ideal Candidate:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent HR experience.
- Previous experience working in a HR Advisory capacity.
- Experience managing recruitment campaigns from advert through to onboarding.
- Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability casework.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Experience using HR systems and digital recruitment platforms.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Housing Association or social housing experience would be advantageous.
