Rate: Β£27 per hour via Umbrella Company
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role
We are seeking four experienced and dependable Role Equipment Specialists to support the Role Equipment Bay within a A400M line maintenance operation.
Reporting to the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops, you will be responsible for servicing, inspecting and maintaining aircraft survival and role-specific equipment in accordance with approved technical publications, OEM procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
You will play a key role in ensuring critical equipment remains safe, compliant and operationally ready within a fast-paced, safety-critical aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Service chemical oxygen generators in accordance with approved OEM procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Inspect, repack and maintain life vests and associated aircraft survival equipment.
- Carry out daily servicing of Class 3 role equipment to ensure operational readiness and availability.
- Apply corrosion prevention compounds to relevant components and assemblies.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and update technical records and maintenance management systems.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality and maintenance procedures.
- Follow human factors, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and tool control requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain workplace standards in line with 6S principles.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience maintaining and servicing aircraft survival equipment, life-support systems and/or role-specific equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical publications and follow approved maintenance procedures.
- Competence in using digital tools and maintenance recording systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a demanding operational environment.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a defence aerospace, military aviation or MRO environment.
- Familiarity with the A400M or similar military transport aircraft.
- Awareness of human factors, FOD prevention and tool control practices.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent military or civilian qualification in aircraft maintenance, survival equipment or a related discipline.
Security Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be able to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, as required.
