A reputable and forward-thinking legal group specialising in estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and conveyancing is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join their growing team as a Specialist Drafter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality technical work and wants genuine flexibility, autonomy, and long-term progression.

The Opportunity

You will support private client and conveyancing teams across the group, focusing on drafting a full range of specialist lifetime trust and estate planning documents. Working with industry-recognised, regularly updated precedents, you’ll deliver bespoke, client-focused solutions while managing a varied and intellectually engaging workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting trusts and associated documents, including Deeds of Variation, Deeds of Appointment, Retirement and Appointment of New Trustees, Indemnities, and Disclaimers
  • Managing a number of complex, technical drafting matters simultaneously
  • Assisting with a small caseload of conveyancing files where needed (experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Working collaboratively with wills, trusts, conveyancing, and probate teams
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all documentation

About You:

  • 5+ years’ PQE in private client or property work (required)
  • Strong experience and confidence in trust work and complex drafting
  • Background in wills, probate, conveyancing, or estate administration advantageous
  • STEP qualification or similar specialist credentials preferred
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple matters
  • Detail-driven, proactive, and committed to high-quality work
  • Conveyancing experience helpful but not essential
