Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-6-month assignment. This role offers fully remote working arrangements and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial and Procurement Lawyer to support a busy legal team.
The Role
- Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the possibility for extension
- Rate: Up to £60 per hour Outside IR35
- Working Pattern: Part Time, 10-20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a broad range of commercial and procurement matters.
- Providing legal advice on the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and framework agreements.
- Advising on governance, contract procedure rules, and tendering processes.
- Supporting the wider legal and procurement teams with ad hoc matters as required.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong knowledge of commercial and procurement law, including upcoming legislative changes.
- Excellent drafting, advisory, and communication skills.
