Duties

  • Attend the Magistrates Court and specialised in regulatory prosecutions
  • Provide legal advice to all departments within the council, preparing cases for prosecution, and undertaking the necessary advocacy work in the Magistrates’ Court
  • Conduct a caseload of Prosecution files to include Animal Licensing, Fly Tipping, Planning Enforcement
  • Progress cases to completion and dealing with correspondence
  • Draft summons, indictments, case summaries and Disclosure Requests
  • Attend Magistrates Court and dealing with the Court list
  • Advise on two Summary Review Applications, also writing up Decision Notices
