Locum Deputy Information Governance Manager and Deputy DPO – Full Time – Initial 3 month Contract – Remote Working - Up to £50 per hour (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist Legal Team are recruiting for an experienced Locum Deputy Data Protection Manager and Deputy DPO to support a well-regarded public sector body on an initial 3 month assignment.
Role Details- Duration: Initial 3 months with extensions agreed thereafter
- Working Pattern: Full Time, remote working
- Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Umbrella)
- Start: ASAP
The role will play a leading role in ensuring the Council meets its legal obligations under the Data Protection Act (2018) and UK General Data Protection Regulations. Managing a team of Information Governance colleagues, this critical role is responsible for delivering a range of projects whilst supporting senior leaders and the wider organisation with expert advice that keeps the Council compliant.
Informing and advising the organisation about their obligations to comply with the GDPR and other data protection laws, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the Council complies with legal and statutory obligations. Training colleagues and direct reports, including DPIA, FOI and EIR. Oversee an effective, compliant and responsive Information Governance Team responsible for management of the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and any other relevant legislation now or in the future. Correlate and prepare key performance information to support self-assessment of compliance for the Council.
