Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 6 month contract (potential extension) – Full time or Part time – Remote working – Up to Β£65 per hour – East of England. Position with an East of England Local Authority.

Desired experience in handling Adult Social Care matters and a proven track record working on behalf of Local Authorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Adult Social Care legislation, including Court of Protection, Section 21a, Section 16, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with other legal representatives.
  • Prepare and manage a varied caseload in relation to all aspects of Adult Social Care matters.
  • Advise on Deprivation of Liberty for adults and use of inherent jurisdiction and COP.
