Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Administrator until the end of August/September 2025 with potential to extend on a rate of £16.16/hour PAYE - working 35 hours per week. This role will be based in Edinburgh.
Please note: You will need a PVG for this role. A new PVG will cost £59, and an updated PVG will cost £18.
Responsibilities:- Assess fee status questionnaires and passport/visa documents.
- Set-up a system to track the return of completed fee status questionnaires and ensure all residency documents are provided.
- Liaise with applicants who have not returned their fee status questionnaires or have missing residency documents.
- Update systems and maintain accurate records of checks completed and evidence seen.
- Check International qualifications using UK ENIC to determine UK equivalency.
- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the UK Visa and Immigration residency policies.
- Provide information and advice to applicants on the fee waiver policy.
- Make changes and maintain accuracy of details in the records database (Unit-e).
- Administer enrolment sessions as required.
- Maintain accurate paper and digital copies of all ESF participant files in line with the approved guidance.
- Assist in the preparation of evidence for verification visits and audits from funding bodies.
- Provide data for management reports where necessary.
- Educated to Higher grade (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of data input and administrative skills.
- Able to produce work of a high standard whilst under pressure and dealing with conflicting priorities.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be adaptable in attitude and approach.
- Able to contribute positively to the work and ongoing development of the team.
- Must be flexible and willing to work at any of the organisational locations.
- Some evening work may be required to cover evening enrolment.
- HNC in Administration or a Computing based subject.
- Experience of working with people from a range of cultural and international backgrounds and non-native speakers of English.
