Venesky Brown is looking for a Project Manager with experience in Site Establishment to start in the Suffolk area, to support our client who have been appointed to deliver off-site-infrastructure works around the Sizewell C structure in Suffolk. Sizewell C (SZC) is one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Job Summary
You will be based on site at Sizewell C, responsible for delivering a section of the site depending on your specific scope, within budget and on schedule to support the successful build of the project.
Job Description:
- Site -based role 5 days per week onsite at SZC, Leiston Suffolk – £550-£650 per day inside IR35 depedning on expereince.
- Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
- Implement best practices in project management to optimise efficiency and quality.
- Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, major complex projects, such as HS2, HPC, Thames Tideway, CrossRail, Transport for London.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the energy or construction sector.
- Experience with NEC contracts with multiprogram construction background. NEC 3 /4 or Constuction qualifications or other relevant memberships.
- Ability to deliver contacts scope within fast pace and changing environment.
- Advantageous to have a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
