Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Development Manager for an initial 3 month contract with possibility of extension on a rate of £350/day (Inside IR35).
Responsibilities:
- Completion of new seabed agreements or variations to seabed agreements; more specifically, coordination of the process of negotiation of new agreements and variations, preparation of documentation, preparing documentation for approvals and filing in line with our internal policies;
- Development management activities (which includes day to day monitoring of the obligations in Option Agreements);
- Coordination / project management of enabling projects and reviews of our standard terms;
- Preparing presentations;
- Organising meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
- Team activities including coordination of budgets, forecasts, risks and processes;
- Support stakeholder/ tenant relationship engagement and relationship building;
- Support E&I procurement activities, particularly with regard to contract management;
- Build a detailed understanding of agreements and activities across all E&I sectors with a view to:
- Standing in for Development/ Asset Managers where required;
- Identifying cross-sectoral opportunities for improvement;
- Enhancing consistency of approach across sectors.
- Implement appropriate project management approaches (in line with policies);
- Ensure robust contract management of external resources/ advisors is implemented;
- Be responsible for specific aspects of leasing activities (as agreed with lead for that activity) – e.g. management of Portal messaging/content;
- Play active role in E&I engagement activities (internal/external stakeholders, tenants) with particular focus on enabling activities.
Essential Skills:
- Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent in business, engineering, law or related subject;
- The post requires capability to understand and manage contracts;
- The post holder must have working knowledge of project management principles and experience of managing simple projects;
- The post holder must be confident and enthusiastic with communication skills to match;
- The post holder must be comfortable working within collaborative, ‘virtual’ teams;
- The post holder must have good problem-solving and analytical skills;
- The post holder must work in a structured and organised manner;
- Experience in marine energy and infrastructure or similar sectors;
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams;
- Good communication skills;
- Attention to detail and delivery focus.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to build trust in internal and external relationships.
