We are recruiting an experienced senior leader in major civils and infrastructure delivery to join a high‑profile UK megaproject. This position will oversee complex civil engineering, heavy structures, reinforced concrete and multidisciplinary delivery activities on a programme exceeding £100M. Suitable for professionals operating at Director or Head‑of level this role demands strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management and proven capability within highly regulated, safety‑critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead senior managers delivering major civils, structural and infrastructure packages.
- Hold or support Principal Contractor duties ensuring compliance and safety standards.
- Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule and cost.
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering, construction, quality and safety teams.
- Develop and deliver the strategy for your project area, aligned with overall programme objectives.
- Identify and resolve risks, constraints, resource challenges and delivery blockers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client organisations, contractors and delivery partners.
- Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across the programme.
Essential Experience
- Experience in major civils or infrastructure delivery.
- Proven leadership of £100M+ programmes.
- Director / Head‑of experience in client‑side or principal contractor environments.
- Strong background in heavy civils, reinforced concrete, deep foundations, marine works or large structural works.
- Experience with NEC or FIDIC contract models.
- Skilled at managing multidisciplinary teams within regulated sectors (Energy, Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Aviation).
