Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit Physical Security Administrators on a 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £14.87/hour PAYE. These roles will be based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the organisation’s Automated Access Control System (AACS).
  • Adding new pass records, assigning access rights and updating pass records as requested ensuring data input is accurate.
  • Assigning access rights to users who require access to authorised areas or revoking rights to users who no longer require access.
  • Dealing with pass and access control enquiries that come into the operational mailbox daily and providing advice to the public or representatives from the organisation or other organisations in writing.
  • Dealing with general telephone/MS Teams enquiries.
  • Printing passes on a daily basis to issue to staff and contractors.
  • Printing ID or Warrant Cards upon request.
  • General security administrative duties dealing with visitor and contractor access.
  • Ensuring that relevant databases and files are updated and accurate.
  • Assisting with out of hours security sweeps, security incident monitoring and follow up actions.
  • Ensuring implementation of all Security and Business Continuity policies and practices and follows all guidance to support decision making.
  • Conducting any other reasonable duties.
