Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with offices in Dundee, Edinburgh, Cambuslang and Inverness are currently looking to recruit a People Adviser (Talent Development) for a contract until 31st March 2027 on a rate of £25.78/hour PAYE (35 hours). Remote working with occasional onsite attendance.

Supporting the design and delivery of learning, leadership and talent initiatives You will contribute to practical, user-focused Talent Development and learning activity that responds to identified organisational needs.

Professional discussions 28th and 29th September with anticipated start date early-mid October.

Responsibilities:

Working with colleagues and stakeholders, the postholder will:

- Contribute to designing and delivering learning, leadership and talent development initiatives.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to plan, develop, deliver and review practical solutions.

- Use available people and learning information, feedback and evaluation to support continuous improvement.

- Help develop clear, accessible resources and guidance to support learning and development activity.

Essential Skills:

-Degree level qualification

-Associate Diploma in People Management; Organisational Learning and Development

-Associate membership of CIPD or equivalent body relevant to the role

-Demonstratable experience in a Learning & Development, Training or People Directorate role

- Experience of designing and delivering engaging learning, leadership and talent development initiatives.

- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

- Experience of using information, feedback and evaluation to support continuous improvement.

- The ability to develop clear, accessible resources and guidance.

- Confidence working in a fast-paced and supportive team.

Driving Licence desirable.

Desirable Skills:

-Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or Strategic Learning and Development

-Chartered Membership of CIPD

-Experience providing workforce metrics and analysis reports

-Experience in leading and managing projects and teams

-Experience of working in a changing environment

-Experience of operating in a unionised environment
