The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
Due to the nature of this project, which is based on a high-security site, successful candidates will be required to undergo additional security screening. BPSS-level security clearance is mandatory, and the clearance process may take approximately 4–6 weeks. Please note that only candidates who:
- Hold a passport from an EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member country, and
- Have continuously resided in the UK for the past 5 years
will be eligible for consideration.
Role Overview
You will be working within a live MOD facility, supporting commercial and contractual management across civil engineering works. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to cost and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to the management team
- Support delivery of business targets and KPIs
- Ensure cash flow is effectively managed, including timely payments and receipts
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports, analysing results and identifying trends with the wider project team
- Forecast and monitor expenditure against approved client budgets
- Undertake physical measurement of works and agree valuations with clients and subcontractors
- Manage certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, ensuring alignment with forecasts
- Implement and comply with contract change control procedures, including appropriate client communication
- Manage subcontractors, including issuing enquiries, analysing quotations, negotiating, placing orders, and agreeing final accounts
- Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in line with company risk management policies
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear and professional communication
Candidate Requirements
- Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyor or relevant graduate qualification (HNC / BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management)
- CSCS White PQP/AQP card
- Strong understanding and experience of NEC contracts
- Experience with CEMAR (desirable but not essential)
- Experience using Coins / Causeway accounting systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse, high-performing team
