Venesky-Brown\’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a People Adviser for an initial 5 month contract on a rate of £246.71/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working.
Responsibilities
Managing complex HR casework to outcome and in line with good employment practice
Providing practical advice to managers, and others in their role as employers, across the full spectrum of HR policies and procedures
Supporting managers to identify job requirements. This includes developing job descriptions, adverts and recruitment strategies to attract and identify a diverse range of candidates
Managing casework, often complex, involving the full HR lifecycle, in line with good employment practice
Advising on and leading recruitment campaigns including the development of job descriptions, adverts, assessment and selection techniques
Demonstrable planning and excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines across a number of different work streams.
Ability to create a collaborative, inclusive working culture with an understanding of the needs of the end user
Excellent communication and customer management skills, building rapport and relationships at all levels
Digital proficiency, including the ability to review data and use HR systems effectively
Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
Qualifications
An experienced HR professional (CIPD qualified or equivalent) with in-depth practical knowledge and application of UK employment legislation
Experience of providing autonomous advice, whilst knowing when to elevate issues or seek advice from the internal legal team
