Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Haddington, is currently looking to recruit an IT Analyst for an initial 8 week contract on a rate of £200/day (Inside IR35). This role will be based onsite in Haddington.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on BAU (Business As Usual) incidents and requests within our ticketing system to clear off current backlog.
  • Work hand in hand with Senior IT Analyst (EUP) and IT Technician (EUP) to carry out hardware refresh duties.
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support for calls relating to the Corporate End User Estate.
  • Assist with the work of IT colleagues running the IT Service Desk.
  • Monitor systems for critical and important patch notices, and escalate to senior members of EUP.
  • Complete tasks passed on from senior members of EUP to aid in planned works.
  • Update Microsoft Endpoint Manager & Intune managed applications if required.
  • Aid in fit-out of End User Equipment during office refurbishment.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant HNC and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
  • Experience of providing IT Support directly to customers.
  • Experience of using appropriate tools to provide IT support.
  • Experience of using Config Manager for building endpoints.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working in an ITIL based IT environment.
  • Experience of working on an IT Service Desk.
  • Experience of providing Enterprise wide IT support in a large organisation.
  • Good customer service skills and experience.
