I’m recruiting for an experienced NEC Supervisor to support the delivery of major off-site infrastructure works on a high-profile UK construction project. This is a key role for someone with strong NEC contract experience and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance across complex civil engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong NEC works contract knowledge
- A civil engineering background with understanding of MCHW and health & safety requirements
- Experience in highways or major infrastructure projects
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with the Works Information and NEC3 contract terms
- Issue Defect Notifications and support the defect correction process
- Review and approve material submissions prior to site delivery
- Lead regular quality meetings and resolve non-conformances
- Liaise with local authority inspectors under S278 requirements
- Observe site activities and report any unsafe practices or conditions
- Maintain detailed daily records of inspections, tests, and site activity
- Witness and verify testing and commissioning procedures
- Use CEMAR, Field View and SharePoint for reporting and documentation
- Provide clear written and verbal reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders
- Support lessons-learnt activities and continuous improvement
- Build effective working relationships with contractor teams and wider project stakeholders
