I’m recruiting for an experienced NEC Supervisor to support the delivery of major off-site infrastructure works on a high-profile UK construction project. This is a key role for someone with strong NEC contract experience and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance across complex civil engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong NEC works contract knowledge
  • A civil engineering background with understanding of MCHW and health & safety requirements
  • Experience in highways or major infrastructure projects
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with the Works Information and NEC3 contract terms
  • Issue Defect Notifications and support the defect correction process
  • Review and approve material submissions prior to site delivery
  • Lead regular quality meetings and resolve non-conformances
  • Liaise with local authority inspectors under S278 requirements
  • Observe site activities and report any unsafe practices or conditions
  • Maintain detailed daily records of inspections, tests, and site activity
  • Witness and verify testing and commissioning procedures
  • Use CEMAR, Field View and SharePoint for reporting and documentation
  • Provide clear written and verbal reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders
  • Support lessons-learnt activities and continuous improvement
  • Build effective working relationships with contractor teams and wider project stakeholders
