Electrician (Facilities)

p Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Electrician (Facilities) for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,197.00 - £41,804.00 Per Annum. /p p br /p p strong Responsibilities /strong /p p br /p p - Carry out preventative maintenance and repair on equipment in all areas (within competency) as directed by supervisor. /p p - Diagnose, complete remedial works and repair faults as appropriate. /p p - Maintain and repair electrical systems, lighting, control systems and plant. /p p - Undertake basic elements of joinery, plumbing, painting, fabric repairs and ground maintenance. /p p - Carry out water temperature checks and minor remedial works to ensure compliance with HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 for controlling legionella disease.6. Co-ordinate with contractors on-site including carrying out contractor’s briefings. /p p - Required to work at height and use the appropriate access equipment in line with health and safety requirements. /p p - Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and job logs. /p p - Comply with all Health Safety legislation, electrical regulations and company procedures. /p p br /p p strong Essential Skills: /strong /p p br /p p - 18 Edition Regulation course /p p - Knowledge of electrical processes and procedures /p p - General Electrical experience /p p - Experience of workplace paperwork and systems /p p - Computer literate /p p - Self-motivated, ability to work without immediate supervision /p p - Ability to plan work, operate in a changing environment and react effectively to changing demands /p p - Good verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate at all levels /p p - Prepared to have a flexible and multi skilled approach to work in relation to duties and working hours when required /p p - Reliable, punctual and trustworthy /p p - Willingness to work additional hours if required due to operational necessity.
