Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Business Support Manager for as soon as possible for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £28.68/hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid working.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert knowledge of contractor and vendor management processes.
- Agree objectives with Head of Digital Governance and other relevant stakeholders, then plan and implement these objectives, monitoring progress to ensure that objectives are achieved.
- Line manager to the Business Support Administrator post.
- Monitor and manage all contracts to meet compliance objectives.
- Responsible for policy implementation, service and organisational development and training in relation to contract and business support management.
- Responsible for the financial management of all contracts to ensure financial and performance targets are met.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers in relation to key performance indicators and delivery of services and change.
- Proactively engage with IT management team to obtain regular feedback from users of the services, and work with suppliers on continual service improvement plans based on feedback and demand.
- Undertake performance benchmarking and work with all parties to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure that all the IT service management relationships required between suppliers of core systems and the organisation are clearly defined and allocated.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues/problems regarding breaches of security or confidentiality, particularly in relation to contract management and data protection.
- Manage and progress contract procurement and renewal, taking a strategic approach to ensure that procuring services takes best advantage of market capability, driving improvement in efficiency and obtaining best value for money.
- Review pricing against contract and ensure that costs incurred by the organisation reflect the service received during Service Review Meetings with suppliers.
- Maintain a register of all contracts and plan the review of contracts and supporting agreements in line with their renewal dates.
- Any other duties as required.
Essential Skills:
- Educated to Degree level or able to demonstrate extensive experience in an IT or Procurement related area.
- Completed or working towards completion of a relevant Post Graduate Degree.
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in a relevant IT or Health service area, including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
- ITIL trained at Practitioner Level and ability to demonstrate experience in service management best practices.
- Accomplished recognised accredited training within Information Governance.
- Significant experience with contract and vendor management.
- Experience working in a similar environment.
- Experience working in a management position.
- Ability to demonstrate prior knowledge of contract and vendor management.
- Excellent knowledge required of the Data Protection.
