  • Slinger / Signaller to support works on a large scale

This is a great opportunity to join an infrastructure project at an early stage, supporting the delivery of an initial package of works with future works packages expected as the project develops.

Role Overview The successful candidate will support lifting operations on site, working closely with crane operators, plant operators, groundworkers and site management.

The role will involve ensuring materials, plant and equipment are moved safely and efficiently in line with lift plans, RAMS, permits and site procedures.

  • Key Duties
  • Support safe lifting operations across the work area.
  • Work closely with crane operators, lifting supervisors and site teams.
  • Provide clear and accurate signals during lifting operations.
  • Assist with slinging, banking and movement of materials, plant and equipment.
  • Check lifting accessories and ensure equipment is suitable before use.
  • Maintain exclusion zones and support safe segregation of people, plant and vehicles.
  • Follow lift plans, RAMS, permits and site procedures at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, operators and site teams.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
  • Support associated civils, groundworks and site activities where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Slinger / Signaller on civils, infrastructure, construction or major project environments.
  • CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller qualification.
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations, exclusion zones and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with crane operators, supervisors and site teams.
  • CSCS card relevant to role.
  • Experience working around heavy plant and busy construction environments
  • Plant or lifting-related tickets would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work safely as part of a site team.
  • Additional Information The role is offered on a

PAYE basis .

Working hours are expected to be approximately

07:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday , with some weekend work potentially available as works progress.
