Venesky-Brown Recruitment are looking for a reliable Cleaner / Welfare Labourer to support Galliford Try on the Sizewell C project in Leiston, Suffolk. This role will involve a mixture of internal cleaning across offices and common areas within the compound, along with potential welfare labouring duties in external yard areas. A site vehicle may be allocated for travelling between compounds, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.

Duties

  • Cleaning offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, toilets and common areas
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the compound
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and general housekeeping
  • Replenishing consumables such as toilet roll, soap and hand towels
  • Supporting welfare labouring duties in external yard areas when required
  • Keeping yard and welfare areas tidy, safe and presentable
  • Driving a site vehicle between compounds if required
  • Reporting any maintenance, hygiene or safety issues
  • Following all site health, safety and security procedures

Essential Requirements

  • Previous cleaning, welfare or labouring experience
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Clean driving licence
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health and safety on site
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Previous experience working on a construction or site compound
