Veneer Technologies is looking for a qualified Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing team! We offer competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, PTO, 401k and more!
Veneer Tech\’s Industrial Electrician position is responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations through installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production efficiency (knowledge of European equipment design a PLUS!). This role involves working closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment, including motors, conveyors, control panels, and PLCs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters)
- Maintain and update documentation of all electrical systems, changes, and repairs.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical components to avoid unexpected equipment failure.
- Work closely with engineers, maintenance staff, and production teams to support efficient operations.
- Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failure and recommend improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and observe all safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase power systems, motor controls, PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), VFDs, and industrial automation.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, and in environments with noise, dust, or temperature variation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments.
- Basic mechanical skills (hydraulics, pneumatics) a plus.
- OSHA 10/30-hour training certification preferred.
- Knowledge of European schematics and/or experience working with Siemens, Cooper, Festo HIGHLY PREFERRED
Education and Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
- Valid Industrial Electrician license or certification
