We’re looking for an Inbound Sales Representative to join a growing payments business in the UK. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, qualifying opportunities, and converting warm leads into new business. You’ll be the first point of contact for businesses exploring payment solutions and will play a key role in turning interest into revenue.
You’ll work with inbound enquiries from merchants and businesses looking for support with card payments, terminals, ecommerce payments, virtual terminals, payment gateways, or broader merchant services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responding quickly and professionally to inbound sales enquiries
- Speaking with prospective customers to understand their business and payment needs
- Qualifying opportunities and identifying the right solution for each customer
- Explaining payment products clearly, including pricing, features, and onboarding process
- Managing the full sales cycle from first enquiry through to close, or handing over qualified opportunities where appropriate
- Updating and managing all activity through CRM
- Working closely with onboarding, customer success, risk, and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer journey
- Meeting individual and team sales targets
- Building strong product knowledge across the payments offering
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in inbound sales, inside sales, telesales, or a similar commercial role
- Payments industry experience is preferred, ideally within merchant acquiring, card terminals, POS, ecommerce payments, or fintech
- Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in writing
- A confident and consultative sales approach
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple enquiries at once
- Experience using CRM systems
- Commercially minded, proactive, and customer-focused
Nice to have:
- Experience selling payment solutions to SMEs or mid-market businesses
- Knowledge of acquiring, gateways, chargebacks, fraud, onboarding, or compliance processes
- Experience working with warm leads generated through marketing, partnerships, or web enquiries
