About the Role

We are recruiting for a Workshop Technician on behalf of a respected commercial workshop in Buckinghamshire. This position is ideal for someone with experience in plant, HGV, PSV, or mobile crane maintenance who is seeking a stable, workshop-based role with strong long-term prospects. You will work on a wide range of plant and crane equipment, supporting refurbishments and carrying out high-quality repairs and servicing. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to join a skilled and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing and repairs to mobile cranes on both a commercial and warranty basis.
  • Support the refurbishment of plant and crane equipment within a busy commercial workshop.
  • Liaise with customers to agree required works, action points, and expected timeframes.
  • Work closely with suppliers to order parts and maintain a strong and accurate parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure all tasks are completed in priority order and to high standards.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Background in plant, HGV, or PSV maintenance.
  • Mobile crane experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics.
  • Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.
