This isn’t just another welding role — it’s an opportunity to become part of a forward‑thinking company that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and long‑term development.
The Role: As a Welder / Fabricator, you’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality steel components used in off‑site construction. You’ll be involved in a mix of MIG welding, fabrication, structural assembly, and metal finishing, contributing to projects that demand precision and pride in your work.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out high‑quality MIG welding on mild steel (8–12mm thickness).
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints (where required) – highly skilled welders with limited fabrication experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Performing fabrication and structural steel assembly using workshop machinery (saws, presses, drills, grinders) – highly skilled welders with limited fabrication experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Completing weld preparation, joint fitting, and finishing to a high standard.
- Producing strong, clean welds with attention to detail and consistency.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Collaborating with production teams to meet deadlines and targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a MIG welder, fabrication welder, or metal fabricator.
- Ability to produce consistent, high‑quality welds.
- Experience working from engineering drawings is beneficial, but not essential.
- Fabrication experience is advantageous; however, highly skilled welders with limited fabrication experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- We welcome applications from candidates who are confident in MIG welding but less experienced in reading technical drawings, as support and training can be provided.
- Strong work ethic and team‑focused mindset.
Why Apply?
- Competitive hourly rates with overtime opportunities.
- Clear pathway to a permanent role and long‑term career.
- Join a supportive team with a strong community culture.
- Be part of a company investing in its people and future growth.
If you’re a skilled welder, welding technician, or fabrication specialist — or a high‑quality MIG welder looking to develop your fabrication skills further — this is your opportunity to join a company that will invest in you.
