Venatu are recruiting for a Weekend Production Supervisor for a busy manufacturing company in Featherstone.
About The Role:
- You will supervise a small team of 8-10 and will be expected to also carry out manufacturing duties.
- This is a temporary to permanent position.
- Working Friday to Sunday 6am to 6pm.
- Pay Rates are £16.00 and increases to £17.30 after 12 weeks.
- Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 34.5 hours per week.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team and have responsibility for opening and locking up the site over the weekend.
- Be expected to demonstrate an excellent quality in your work.
- Work in a busy industrial production environment on CNC and Beam Saw Machines, producing high quality finished products.
- Obtain Delivery Notes & Loading Plans along with loading finished products using delivery notes to cross reference.
- This is a physical role that requires reliability and the ability to work as part of a team.
About you:
- FLT Counterbalance Licence Accredited.
- First Aid & Fire Marshall Trained.
- Supervisory Experience.
- Experience from a similar environment in manufacturing of wood products.
- Experience running machines such as CNC & Beam Saws.
- With good communication skills, you will be a team player with a flexible attitude to work.
- You must have excellent attention to detail, be enthusiastic with a thirst to learn, develop and progress.
- Machine Based Experience.
- Be comfortable with Manual Handling tasks.
