We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our Sheffield based client. MEP Design Engineer Sheffield £45,000 to £50,000 per annum 37.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday Permanent Our client are looking to recruit a MEP Design Engineer for their Mechanical Building Services department to join their expanding team. They are specialists in heart network projects that is both efficient and ecofriendly. This position differs from conventional design roles. The engineer will be given opportunity to “own” a design project from start through to operation, including monitoring and evaluating feedback from the Operations Team to help refine and improve the design and all future designs. Evaluation of project scope and design inception The design and implementation of medium to large scale low carbon energy systems, heat distribution networks, controls, plant-rooms, thermalstorage and fuel storage. The production of detailed drawings, reports and specifications. Evaluating existing buildings energy system designs and generating design changes to make them operate efficiently at lower temperatures. Production of viability and feasibility reports of energy systems Regular on site evaluation to ensure design compliance during construction phase Post construction evaluation and reporting What we are looking for in the Design Engineer? We are looking for an enthusiastic energy/building services engineer with excellent design, technical, and software skills 3-5 years of experience in this design area Keen interest in the field of Energy Engineering Systems for domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. Degree qualified in Mechanical, Building Services or Energy Engineering Experience of energy centremechanical services design, such as district heating, CHP and renewables Highly competent in AutoCAD, Revit and Procore If you are an experienced Design Engineer then we want to hear from you!
