Are you a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester looking for a role where you can develop your technical skills, increase your earning potential and get your Saturdays back?
We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join an established automotive workshop in Bradford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable all-round technician with a few years of workshop experience who is confident with servicing, brakes and suspension work. Diagnostic experience would be a bonus, but it isn’t essential.
You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake manufacturer training, progress through further technical levels and increase your basic pay following successful completion of the required training.

The Role
As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT testing alongside a range of mechanical maintenance and repair work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out MOT tests
- Routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Brake inspection, repair and replacement
- Suspension repairs and maintenance
- General mechanical repairs
- Identifying and reporting vehicle faults
- Completing work accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Undertaking manufacturer training and ongoing technical development
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an experienced Vehicle Technician who is comfortable working independently across general mechanical repairs and maintenance.
You will need:
- Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent
- Current MOT Tester qualification/licence
- A few years of practical Vehicle Technician experience
- Strong servicing experience
- Competence with brake repairs
- Competence with suspension work
- A willingness to undertake manufacturer training and continue developing your technical skills
Diagnostic experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary & Hours
£33,600 – £34,750 basic salary, depending on training level, plus bonus and overtime.
Monday to Friday
8:30am – 5:00pm
There are no Saturdays in your contracted working week.
Any Saturdays worked are optional overtime and are paid at time and a half. Additional weekday overtime is also available and paid at the standard hourly rate.
