We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a fast-paced and well-established automotive parts distributor based in Reading (RG6). This is a varied, hands-on role combining driving and warehouse responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and working as part of a team.

The Role

This position is split between delivering car parts to local garages and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive the parts they need, on time and in full.

Driving Duties

  • Delivering a wide range of automotive parts to local garages and trade customers
  • Items include nuts & bolts, mirrors, windscreen wipers, batteries, oils, and other essential vehicle components
  • Planning routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules
  • Loading and unloading your van safely and securely
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers at delivery points
  • Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately

Warehouse Duties

  • Picking and packing orders using handheld scanners
  • Labelling, sorting, and organising stock
  • Assisting with goods-in deliveries and stock replenishment
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
  • Supporting general warehouse operations as required

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 06:30 – 15:30
Every other Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 (approximately 2 per month)

Pay & Benefits

£12.71 per hour
Weekly pay every Friday
Temp-to-perm opportunity – permanent contract offered after 12 weeks
Company van provided for delivery duties (during working hours only)
Stable, ongoing work with a reputable company

What We’re Looking For

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous van driving or multi-drop experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial
  • Good level of physical fitness (role involves lifting and manual handling)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
