Venatu Recruitment are proud to announce that a new client of ours is now in the market for a new Fire Alarm System Designer to join them! They are a well-established, leading construction and building services company based in Kent, specialising in improving and protecting the built environment nationwide for over the last 20 years. They pride themselves on providing a fully comprehensive service across multiple avenues such as Construction Projects, Fire Protection & Security Solutions, and Electrical Services and Maintenance, simplifying compliance and risk management for clientele nationwide whilst enhancing safety and asset protection.
Due to the quality of work and service provided, they have amassed an expansive client base with projects across Prisons, High Rises, Social Housing, and numerous Commercial properties. Due to their consistent and exponential growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Fire Alarm System Designer to join them ASAP! This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £45k + Commission.
This position would suit a Design Technician with Fire Systems knowledge and Design Package experience and Commercial Aptitude!
Duties include:
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm System Designer or in a similar fire safety / life safety role
- Experience designing fire detection and alarm systems for commercial, residential and/or public sector buildings
- Ability to produce compliant system designs, drawings, cause & effect matrices and specifications
- Fire Alarm Take Off Calculations
- Competent in using CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and fire alarm design tools
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and building layouts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
- Understanding of health & safety and CDM requirements (desirable)
- Relevant qualifications or training in fire alarm design or fire engineering (desirable)
