We are currently looking for an experienced Shift Manager to join our fast-paced warehouse operation on a days shift.
Shift Pattern: 4 x 12-hour shifts, 4 days over 7 (rota basis), aligned with picker operations.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shift Manager in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work under pressure
- Counterbalance licence required
- Flexi (Bendi) licence desirable (not essential)
- Experience managing investigations and disciplinaries
- Good understanding of Health & Safety (IOSH certificate desirable)
Role Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of approximately 30 staff, including pickers, loaders, FLT drivers, and team leaders/supervisors
- Ensuring picks are completed efficiently, safely, and on time
- Overseeing daily loading operations to meet deadlines
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Identifying and delivering staff training where required
- Conducting investigations and disciplinary processes
- Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are followed
- Managing and processing orders through internal systems
- Maintaining accurate stock records and investigating discrepancies
- Delivering shift briefings
- Managing staffing levels, including agency staff and holidays
- Liaising with other managers and ensuring smooth shift handovers
- Working collaboratively as part of the wider management team
