About the Role
We are recruiting a Fluid Management Technician to join a growing UK industrial services team. This is an entry-level development role designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in technical services, reliability, or customer-facing industrial support. Working alongside experienced senior technicians, you'll support fluid management services at customer sites across the UK. The role is hands-on, customer-facing, and varied, combining practical technical work with site housekeeping, relationship building, and learning how high-quality service supports customer retention and business growth. This position offers a clear progression pathway into more senior technical, commercial, or customer-focused roles as your skills and experience develop. Occasional overnight stays may be required due to customer locations, though these are not frequent and planned in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Onsite Technical Support
- Support fluid management activities including oil handling, topping up, sampling, and general site housekeeping
- Assist senior technicians during routine service visits and maintenance work
- Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and documentation for site activities
- Carry out basic inspections and checks under supervision
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised working areas at customer sites
- Customer-Facing Support
- Act as a professional and approachable representative of the business while on site
- Build positive working relationships with customer personnel
- Communicate clearly with customers and escalate issues when required
- Support service coordination and scheduling activities when needed
- Learning, Development & Business Awareness
- Learn how onsite service delivery supports customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify and report opportunities for additional products or services
- Feedback customer needs, issues, or improvement opportunities
- Update internal systems to ensure customer activity and potential opportunities are accurately recorded
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company and customer health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Work safely at all times and report hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly
About You
Essential
- Strong willingness to learn and develop in a technical, customer-facing role
- Good communication skills and a professional, positive attitude
- Comfortable working on customer sites in industrial environments
- Hands-on, organised, and reliable, with a strong team-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
