We are recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join a well-established automotive retail business in Carlisle. The Role
As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the workshop, ensuring technician productivity is maximised, work is allocated effectively and customer commitments are delivered on time. Working closely with the Service Department, you will play a key role in driving workshop performance whilst maintaining high standards of quality and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate work effectively across the technician team
- Monitor workshop efficiency and productivity levels
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales
- Support Service Advisors and management with workshop planning
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective workflow management
- Assist with quality control and workshop standards
- Foster a positive, collaborative working environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within an automotive workshop or aftersales environment
- Workshop Controller experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of workshop operations and vehicle repair processes
