The successful Fire Alarm Install Engineer will play a key role in delivering professional fire safety services across a range of commercial and industrial environments. This position involves installing, servicing and fault finding on fire alarm systems while ensuring all work meets local and national fire safety regulations.
This role would suit an experienced Fire Alarm Install Engineer who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, values customer trust and reliability, and is comfortable travelling to different sites when required. You will work with modern systems and equipment while being supported by a business that values professionalism, safety and ongoing development.
Key responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing and fault finding of fire alarm systems
- Responding to service calls relating to fire alarm systems and associated equipment
- Supporting work on emergency lighting and fire safety equipment where required
- Participating in an on-call rota when scheduled
- Carrying out diagnostics and fault finding on fire alarm systems
- Completing job reports and service documentation accurately and on time
- Maintaining a professional appearance and representing the business positively on site
- Managing vehicle stock levels and ensuring company vehicle is maintained appropriately
Skills and experience required:
Essential:
- Proven experience working in a fire and security engineering role
- Strong experience as a Fire Alarm Install Engineer or similar fire alarm engineering role
- Skilled in fire alarm installation, maintenance and repair
- Relevant industry qualifications related to fire alarm systems
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience working with a variety of fire alarm systems and equipment
- Previous experience working across commercial or industrial sites
