We are currently recruiting for an experienced Equipment and Logistics Controller to join a busy and well-established operation in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused Equipment and Logistics Controller to play a key role in coordinating equipment, managing logistics, and supporting day-to-day warehouse activities.
As an Equipment and Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, tracking, and allocation of equipment, while maintaining accurate records and supporting operational performance. This role would suit someone with experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment, ideally within oil & gas, engineering, or a similarly fast-paced industrial sector.
The Role
- Coordinating and tracking shipments using internal systems and processes
- Managing equipment allocation, returns, and live tracking systems
- Picking, packing, and accurately locating stock items
- Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and supplier paperwork
- Preparing outgoing shipments in line with company documentation requirements
- Liaising with couriers and arranging transport bookings as required
- Producing logistics documentation (delivery notes, commercial invoices, cargo summaries, etc.)
- Identifying and applying correct HS commodity codes for international shipments
- Supporting procurement activity, including supplier quotations and purchase orders
- Monitoring hired equipment and ensuring timely off hire
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Supporting continuous improvement of processes and operational efficiency
- Working collaboratively across teams and supporting wider business needs
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment (oil & gas sector desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence with proven experience
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use internal systems confidently
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
