Venatu Recruitment are proud to announce that a new client of ours is now in the market for a Fire Alarm System Designer to join them! They are a well-established, leading construction and building services company based in Kent specialising in improving and protecting the built environment nationwide for over the last 20 years.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £45k + commission. The role requires experience as a Fire Alarm System Designer or in a similar fire safety / life safety role.
Responsibilities:- Design fire detection and alarm systems for commercial, residential and/or public sector buildings.
- Produce compliant system designs, drawings, cause & effect matrices and specifications.
- Perform fire alarm take-off calculations.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and fire alarm design tools.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and building layouts.
- Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and CDM requirements.
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm System Designer or a similar fire safety / life safety role.
- Experience designing fire detection and alarm systems for commercial, residential and/or public sector buildings.
- Ability to produce compliant system designs, drawings, cause & effect matrices and specifications.
- Competent with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and fire alarm design tools.
- Capability to complete fire alarm take-off calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality.
- Experience managing multiple design projects and meeting deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications or training in fire alarm design or fire engineering (desirable).
- Commission on each job completed.
- Overtime pay.
