We are currently recruiting for an experienced Morgan Rushworth Press Operator to join our clients busy and established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual seeking other opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the required quality standards and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC press machinery in accordance with production requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out routine machine adjustments and tool changes as required.
  • Ensure components are produced to the correct dimensions and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks using measuring equipment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience operating CNC press machinery or similar metalworking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider production team when necessary.

Working Hours

  • 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 7:30am – 2:00pm (30-minute unpaid break at 10:00am)

Pay Rate

£16.21 – £17.72 per hour. Salary dependent upon skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
