Crane Engineering Supervisor β Electrical
We are looking for an experienced Crane Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of field engineers across Yorkshire and the M62 corridor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hands-on, forward-thinking and excited by innovation, automation and modern technology. Ideally, you will be based within 45 minutes of Sheffield to ensure easy access to customers in the region.
As a Crane Engineering Supervisor, you will manage a team of four engineers including apprentices. You will provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring while ensuring that work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of customer service.
What you will be doing as Crane Engineering Supervisor
- Supervising LOLER inspections and maintenance using digital tools to make processes faster and easier
- Leading service and repair work on lifting equipment
- Driving crane modernisation and improvement projects
- Taking part in research and development projects to trial new technology and solutions
- Supporting new crane and hoist installations
- Delivering systems such as collision avoidance and anti-sway
- Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
What we are looking for
- Apprentice-trained engineer with electrical and mechanical skills
- HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- IPAF scissor lift licence β essential
- LEEA qualifications desirable, or willingness to work towards them
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and support a small team
- Safety-conscious, physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- A problem solver with a keen interest in learning new technologies
